Geberit International Sales AG (GISA) is a company within the Geberit Group with the responsibility for Middle East and Africa’s developing and expansion markets. The Group is headquartered in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland.

To support their mission, we are looking to recruit a skilled individual with a results focus to fill the position of a Sales Engineer, who will be responsible for business development, projectdevelopment, implementation and supervision. The key task is to provide technical solutions to prospective clients and on winning the business take them through project implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Region-Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will be expected to;
  • Act as a Technical Consultant of sanitary and piping systems in handling customer care issues
  • Conduct project site visits and provide technical support from design stage to execution and after sales
  • Calculate incumbent costs, design project metrics and manage projects throughout their lifecycle
  • Provide technical support and product trainings to Geberit sales partners within Kenya
  • Build positive relationships with GISA sales partners in the region and be the point of contact for technical inquiries
  • Strategically grow client base through pursuing prospects and building on existing networks
  • Conduct continuous market research to develop recommendations for the appropriate route to market approaches
  • Organize and lead local workshops, site visits and customer care in Kenya
  • Organize and conduct factory tours and trainings in Switzerland and Germany
  • Manage sales activities such as customer visits and preparation of reports through CRM system
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from a reputable university
  • 3-5 years working experience in plumbing/sanitary environment coupled with experience in managing relationships with contractors and consultants
  • Project management experience is essential
  • Presentation and networking skills
  • Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally
  • Ability to work independently, determine priorities on a daily basis and maintain a balanced work approach to achieve business objectives
  • Flexible to travel (Projected 1-3 trips to Switzerland and Germany or in the region)
  • Conversant with MS Office, CRM, AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Must possess a valid driving license.
