Job Evaluation & Grading, Salary Structure Development

We carry out job evaluation and grading exercises to meet the specific needs of our clients. We work with several systems including the Gradar Job Grading Engine, an online system for which we are the sole distributors in this country, Paterson Job Evaluation System and Peromnes Job Evaluation System. As a part of this exercise, individual jobs are analysed, and job descriptions outlined. If the exercise is to be undertaken using a committee, committee members are trained prior to the start of the exercise. A salary structure is then prepared.

Some of the assignments completed include:

  • We conducted this survey among KMT’s comparators. At the end of the survey, we provided a comprehensive analysis of how KMT compared to its market, made remuneration and benefits recommendations as necessary and developed a new structure.

  • We conducted this survey among non-profit grant making development organisations. At the end of the survey, we provided a comprehensive analysis of how KWH compared to its market, made remuneration and benefits recommendations as necessary and proposed a new salary structure

  • We conducted a compensation, benefits and HR Practices survey for this organization covering Kenya and Tanzania. We invited the comparators and obtained the required data which we then analysed and prepared a report for the organization and one for the participants.

  • As per their policy, this organization carries out a survey every three years and we were contracted to conduct their 2013 survey after successfully conducting the one for 2010.

  • We carried out a salary and benefits survey among selected comparators. At the end of the exercise, we provided FSD with a comprehensive analysis of how they compared to their market and made recommendations on actions to be taken to bridge any identified gaps.

  • We conducted a comprehensive job evaluation and grading exercise for this organisation using the Paterson Job Evaluation system. Working with a Job Evaluation Committee (JEC), we facilitated the evaluation of jobs following an organization restructuring in order to develop a new grading structure. We then developed a salary structure aimed at harmonizing salaries throughout the organization.

  • Carried out a comprehensive job evaluation and grading exercise for this organisation that needed to review its grading structure after the acquisition of two banks since the last grading exercise. Using the Paterson Job Evaluation system and working with a Job Evaluation Committee (JEC), we facilitated the evaluation of jobs following the requisite organization restructuring and then developed a new grading structure. Using market data from the Mercer Group, we also developed a new salary and benefits structure.

  • Carried out a comprehensive job evaluation and grading exercise for this organisation using the Paterson Job Evaluation system. Working with a Job Evaluation Committee (JEC), we facilitated the evaluation of jobs following an organization restructuring and then developed a new grading structure.

     

  • Carried out a comprehensive job evaluation and grading exercise for this organisation using the Peromnes job evaluation system. This included conducting a job analysis, development of new job descriptions, facilitation of the evaluation and the development of a grading structure. We also developed a salary structure based on data from the Birches Group Local NGO salary survey.

  • Carried out a comprehensive job evaluation and grading exercise for this organisation using the Patterson Job Evaluation system and then equated this to the HAY grading system. This included conducting a job analysis, development of new job descriptions, facilitation of the evaluation and the development of a grading structure.
